I was taught to soak dry beans overnight . . . before cooking them. Well, today I did some reading and learned that that isn't necessarily true. Also, I learned additional information relative to cooking kidney beans. Glad for that helpful and healthy information about them.

Note: I followed what was shared in the content of the first link (shown
above) and cooked my pinto beans WITHOUT soaking them at all . . . I
didn't use the same seasonings as she did, though. I simmered mine for
90 minutes on top of the stove.
